Dr. Saloni Atal

Former Program Manager

She was a Program Manager at Artha Global and works on projects across technology policy, urban development and public health. Saloni is passionate about using data and evidence to drive effective public policy and programs. Prior to joining Artha, Saloni was a consultant at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, where she specialised in impact evaluations for clients across  the public and private sector, including Foundations, NGOs, impact funds, multilaterals, bilaterals  and aid  agencies.

Saloni’s academic training is in public health. She completed her MPhil and PhD at the Cambridge Institute of Public Health, where she was 1 of 3 from India selected for the Gates scholarship programme (2017 to 2021).  Her research looked at improving women’s mental health and well-being in marginalised communities in India and South Asia. She has also taught research  methodology at Master’s level  at the LSE and Social Psychology courses at UCL.
